This is part one of a short video, jointly produced by the TBfree New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay Regional Council as a response to the Graf brothers’ documentary ‘Poisoning Paradise’. It looks at the facts around the use of biodegradable 1080 poison in New Zealand to control conservation pests and the diseases they spread, and includes interviews with conservationists, farmers, hunters, Māori and the main users of 1080 poison – DOC, TBfree New Zealand (formerly the Animal Heath Board) and Regional Councils.
